Job Description
What is the Role?
The In-house Studio Photographer role is a key member of our Marketing team, responsible for producing high-quality product and lifestyle photography that showcases Early Settler’s product range in a visually compelling way that enhances storytelling across various marketing channels.
This is a 12-month Fixed Term Contract Role for Parental Leave Cover.
The role works collaboratively with the stylist, the creative team and broader marketing team ensuring all visual assets are on-brand, on-brief and delivered in a timely manner to support marketing activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Execute high-quality photography of furniture and homewares in both studio and lifestyle settings.
Create and follow style guides to ensure photography of product and lifestyle images are produced to brand requirements in a timely manner
Collaborate with stylist to plan and shoot styled sets that reflect brand aesthetic and seasonal campaigns
Image management and adjustments like cropping, colour adjustments, masking etc in Capture One
Contribute to campaign planning meetings as need and provide photographic insight to help visual storytelling
Maintain photography equipment and studio space to professional standards ensuring safe work practices and procedures are followed at all times
Coordinate studio bookings and product logistics in collaboration with warehouse
Mentor and oversee freelance or junior photographers/stylists as required

Desired Skills and Experience
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented in-house photographer with a flair for styling and a passion for capturing beautiful, brand aligned imagery. You thrive in a fast paced environment, juggling multiple priorities and projects with strong time management and organisational skills. A natural collaborator, you will work closely with our creative, merchandising and marketing teams to bring our product range to life through visually compelling storytelling
At least 5 years’ experience in studio photography, preferably in a fast-paced environment
Skilled in studio lighting across lifestyle and product imagery
Must have experience with Capture One, Adobe Suite and Profoto lighting
A Tertiary qualification in photography / videography would be preferred
Possess a creative flair with a demonstrated passion for photography and an eye for styling
A genuine interest in home-styling, furniture or creating welcoming living spaces is a plus!
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities and projects
