Job Description

What is required

Whilst we would love people to have experience as a Senior Warehouse Assistant, we are keen to provide support to the right candidates and provide them with on-the-job training.  

Key areas of accountability of the role are:

  • Support warehouse operations and provide senior on-floor leadership when required
  • Support daily workflow coordination
  • Maintain Workplace Health & Safety standards
  • Accurately preparing customer orders
  • Unloading and loading of trucks 
  • Moving stock within the Warehouse in preparation for delivery/collection 
  • Ability to prepare orders in line with set KPI’s
  • General Warehouse duties as and when required
  • Experience operating a walkie stacker would be favourably viewed

Desired Skills and Experience

What you’ll need to stand out from the crowd

Education: High School Graduate (NCEA Level 1)

Experience / Skills / Knowledge:

  • Minimum 4–5 years’ experience in logistics, warehouse operations and inventory control.
  • Demonstrated experience leading by example and supporting team members.
  • Capability to undertake acting-up or higher duties in a supervisory capacity when required.
  • Full driver’s license: forklift license AP certification preferred (not essential training will be provided).
  • Strong working knowledge of warehouse management systems.
  • Competent with Microsoft Office.
  • Experience in retail or direct-to-consumer warehousing environments.
  • Ability to complete the inherent physical requirements of the role including physical, manual handling of furniture
