Job Description
If you’re someone who loves being organised, enjoys a fast-paced environment, can roll up your sleeves when needed and gets satisfaction from seeing things run smoothly - this could be the role for you!
What is the role?
This is a hands-on, varied role where no two days are quite the same. You’ll be responsible for coordinating the day-to-day warehouse and operational activity of the store, making sure stock arrives, is accurately processed and organised, and gets where it needs to go - whether that’s onto the showroom floor, into a customer’s home or ready for collection.
You’ll also coordinate customer deliveries, work with freight and logistics partners, manage customer collections and help resolve any stock or delivery issues along the way. You’ll also be a key support to the Store Manager and wider team, helping identify opportunities to improve the way the store operates and stepping up to support store operations when required.
In a nutshell, you’ll help make sure the right stock gets to the right place, at the right time - while making sure our customers have a great experience along the way.
You’ll be responsible for:
Coordinating the day-to-day warehouse and back-of-house operation
Receiving, checking, processing and organising incoming stock
Maintaining accurate inventory and investigating stock discrepancies
Picking, packing and preparing customer orders for collection, transfer and dispatch
Coordinating customer deliveries and working with freight and logistics partners
Keeping customers informed about their orders, deliveries and collections
Following up delayed deliveries and resolving operational issues
Supporting stock replenishment and movement between the warehouse and showroom
Supporting the sales team during busy periods and contributing to store sales
Supporting the Store Manager and team with day-to-day store operations
Supporting new team members with operational processes and sharing your knowledge
Desired Skills and Experience
Who are we looking for?
We’re looking for someone who takes ownership, gets things done and genuinely cares about getting it right.
You might come from a retail operations, warehouse, logistics or similar background. Ideally, you’ll have 1–2 years’ experience in a similar role supporting warehousing and back-of-house oeprations, but just as important is your attitude and willingness to get stuck in.
You’ll be someone who:
Has experience with stock control, inventory management, warehouse coordination or delivery scheduling
Is highly organised and has an eye for detail. Can juggle multiple priorities without losing sight of what matters
Takes initiative rather than waiting to be told what to do. Enjoys solving problems and finding practical solutions
Is confident communicating with customers, suppliers, freight providers and your team
Can move comfortably between warehouse operations and the showroom floor
Able to confidently navigate and use a range of digital tools and systems (e.g., POS, inventory systems, web browsers, tablets, email, mobile apps) to support daily operations and customer communication
Is happy to roll up your sleeves and get hands-on when the job requires it
As we are a furniture store, the role involves regular manual handling of products including lifting, carrying and moving items of varying sizes. Applicants must be physically capable of safely performing these tasks as part of their daily duties.
And if you have a genuine interest in interiors, home styling and helping people create spaces they love, even better!
If you’re ready for a role where you can make a real impact every day, we’d love to hear from you – APPLY NOW!
